Tanzania Youth Coalition is a registered organization under the NGO Act of 2002, no.OONGO/1382

Established in 2002, Tanzania Youth Coalition is a non-government organization focused on making the voices of the youth heard in all policy platforms. We mostly work with individuals aged 15 to 35 years old. We facilitate information dissemination, sharing and exchange, policy analysis, lobbying, and advocacy to carry on our mission.

TYC was founded by 10 people, including former director Humphrey Pole Pole and current director Lenin Kazoba. Today, we are a consortium of more than 120 youth NGOs and Community Based Organizations (CBOs), 249 Youth Enterprise Groups (YEG), and hundreds of youth individuals in Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.

We work on capacity building and raising awareness of youth-related policies. We create and highlight opportunities for the youth to be empowered, identifying the challenges that they face, and addressing such challenges accordingly. It is our aim to ensure that the voices of the young people within our society will be heard and taken seriously at local, national, and international levels.

Our Mission

Our mission is to build capacity, engage and sensitize youth on sustainable development, and ensure that the voice of youth is heard across decision-making platforms.

Our Vision

A vibrant and proactive youth who are capacitated and are realizing, vocalizing, and implementing change for sustainable development.
